Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory | DNA Learning Center x NY City Tech
In 1988, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory established the DNA Learning Center (DNALC) as the world’s first science center devoted entirely to public genetics education.

In 2021 construction of a new space for middle school students through adults at City Tech will be complete–including six teaching labs with state-of-the-art equipment, two bioinformatics labs, a lunch room and
a planned exhibition.

Challenge: Show not tell what the DNA Learning Center will encompass
Problem: Create images that will encourage interest in stem in all ages, from middle to adult.
Solution: Two concepts that individually showcase the importance of learning at all ages by creating wall elevation and door graphics that incorporate students and staff engaged with scientific materials
